I always feel that I want to apologize to Sr. Patricia when I have to cut out chunks of such an interesting letter, however this will serve to whet your appetite.
STEPHANIE JOHNSON (HOARE) remembers the English lessons with Miss Mackenzie as her teacher. Her love of the subject stems from that time. Many of you will have reason to be grateful to Sr. Patricia for the expertise of her teaching which has had such a beneficial effect on your lives.
NORMAN & MARGARET SIMPSON (ATKINS) spent a very happy one & a half hours with SISTER PATRICIA on 10th May.
Although she has some problems with osteoporosis, she was in good spirits and keen to hear their news. Sr. Patricia sends her love and assures us of her prayers, for which we are very grateful. I feel that we too can remember Sr. Patricia in our prayers; she does not mention her painful condition in her letters to usi MARGARET & NORMAN also visited the lady at the local Morrisons, who supply the Christmas hamper. She says that she and a colleague enjoy putting together the contents of the Hamper and delivering it to the Monastery. We thank MARGARET for all her work in organising the Hamper and the sending out of Sr. Patricia's letters.

MAY THEY REST IN PEACE.
We send our prayers and sympathy to the following people, and to all former pupils and members of staff whose dear ones have died. May the deceased rest in peace and may all who mourn be comforted.
To MAIREAD MURPHY (O'FRIEL) on the death of her mother GINA, in December 2006. GINA had spent the last six and a half years in a Nursing Home in Highcliffe, where she was happy and well cared for. We send our sympathy to Mairead and her husband John.
During January we heard that CECILE McGORAN (ALLISON) aged 77, had died in Vancouver, Canada. CECILE has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. She had managed to get over to England to see her brother MICHAEL, who lives in Southbourne, before she became too ill to travel. We send him and her family our sympathies.
SISTER BERNARDINE'S brother, FR. PETER CALLAGHAN, died in a Nursing Home, where he was cared for by the Poor Clare Sisters. It was a beautiful funeral with the whole family present and five Bishops concelebrating the Requiem Mass.

MARGOT was a contemporary of JEAN WALSH (HUGHES), part of a group af four special school friends who had kept in touch over the years.
The others, BETTY HADDY (BLEECK) and CLARE BLANSHARD have both died. Some of you will remember Margot as a teacher at the Convent, when the family returned from Zambia, for some years before going to Canada. MARGOT'S daughter ELIZABETH sent the news to Sr. MAY, who kindly forwarded it to me and sent our sympathy and prayers to the family.
ELIZABETH, said that her mother had a wonderful time at the wedding and enclosed a photo of her dancing with her new granson, Justin. I will have the photos at the reunion.
