To her falls a lot of producing plays and making the costumes. Stella was married in June and has just left Boscombe to settle in Texas with her husband. Margaret Brewer has returned to Bournemouth and is nursing at Boscombe Hospital. We welcomed Nancy and Margaret on Nancy's wedding day when they called at the Convent after the ceremony. Nancy is now living in Bradford.
Hearty congratulations to Joy Winterbottom, who gained the B.A. Degree 1st Class Hons. (French) at Bristol University this year. Joy is now taking the Teacher's Diploma course. Despite study and work set for the vacations, Joy has never failed to come to the Convent each holiday.
Jean Money, now a qualified P.T. Mistress, called before leaving for her first post at Lyme Regis. At her next visit during the half-term
holiday, Jean related many amusing experiences. She had news of Barbara Withington who, we were relieved to know, is recovering from her long illness.
Pamela Butler, another of their Form mates is still working at Boots. She has kept in close contact with Betty Simpson (Mason). Betty writes long and most interesting letters and her last told of all the preparations for her wedding. Angela is now a Prefect at Coloma and is particularly pleased to be in the School choir.
Gillian Robotham. We mentioned in our last issue that she had been asked by Reverend Mother to sculpture an outdoor statue of St. Frances. The statue is now in the garden and we are able to show a photograph of Gillian and her work (above).
It was good to see Marguerite Smith looking so much better at her last visit. She is as enthusiastic as ever about her medical studies. Strangely enough, she had been working in the same Ward at Barts. as Sylvia Gardner, who is nursing there. Laura Templer has called on two or three occasions when on holiday in Boscombe. She hopes to get a connection with a magazine when her course in dress designing is completed. Margaret Mary Brown is expecting to take the final examination at Harefield Hospital this year.

Margaret Briggs, now medical secretary at the hospital, Windsor, has written several times. She thoroughly enjoys her work but would still like to make writing her career. Joan and Margaret spent a wonderful holiday at Interlaken. Many thanks to Margaret for sending an article for the Magazine. We do hope that other Past Pupils will contribute in the future.
Maureen Parsons (Rowe) and her husband brought Susan and Carey. Susan is very anxious to come to school.
Pamela Vokes (Kennard) was at the Reunion and has called since. Judy Bacon is secretary of the P.P. Association and a keen member of the Cercle Francais. She sees Amelia Bertie occasionally. Jill Waugh finds her duties concerned with the Admiralty very interesting, her smart uniform provoked many envious glances from present pupils on the Friday afternoon she called.
The same day Cecile Alison came over from Reading University, where she is secretary of the Catholic Society. Winifred Humble was able to go to Springhill for the Profession Ceremony in September. We were pleased that she also joined the party who visited Stakes. Mary Hannigan keeps in touch with Form VI on their Saturday visit to the Library!
Linda Thornback, Wendyanne Johnston, Anne and Sally Manning have played in Netball matches against present pupils. Ronaleen Lee is very busy this term at the Academy of Dramatic Art. She finds the classes on poetry from Chaucer to Rosetti most interesting; and rehearsals, of course, take up much of her time.
We were pleased to see Juliette Moore in January, when she was staying with Sheila McFadden, who is now in her second year at Digby Stuart Training College, where Catherine Weatherley has joined her. We were very pleased to see Betty and Catherine
when they came to bring beautiful flowers for the Feast of the Cross.
Angela Rickard is vice-president of the students at the Training College, Southampton. She is keeping up her music and accompanies all the students' singing. She spent the week-end after the Dance. Patricia Buck also spent the night at the Convent. She is taking up Accountancy. Susan Winsey has been a faithful visitor, but now that her radiography course is completed she has taken a post in Surrey.

Ann Wyatt is working hard as she has now another examination to face in her career as an estate agent. Jean gives us news of her. We likewise keep in touch with S. Hoyle (Ennis) through Frances and Richard, and she was present in the Chapel for Richard's First Holy Communion.
Joan Hackett comes in from time to time, as she is still within easy reach of the Convent. We expect Mary Dyson and some of the other local Past Pupils to come to the Clothing Ceremony on December 21st, and there is always a representative attendance at the Carols.
Eileen Hughes appears to be very happy at her work at St. Walburga's, where she takes the greater part of the Physical Training as well as class subjects. Pat Beer having passed the Intermediate Examination is now continuing the Teachers' Course at the School of Art. She had been attending the Summer School of Music at Canford Cliffs at the time of her last visit.
Mary Brearley paid her first return visit a few weeks ago. Patricia Fernihough has not been able to come to Bournemouth recently, but she is a faithful correspondent. June Griffiths gave us a great surprise in the Easter holidays by bringing Esme White to see us.
Esme had just arrived from Kenya to take a secretarial course in London, and had timed her stay to be in London for the Coronation. We all recognised her at once and were interested to hear about June. It was a disappointment for Esme that one of Dorothy Wilson's visits to Boscombe did not coincide with hers. Dorothy has come in for a chat several times, and there are still a couple of senior pupils whom she remembers.
It is not possible to recall the names of all who have visited the Convent or written. It was a pleasure to renew contact with so many at the School Dance, and we ask all who can
give information which would help to make this section more interesting to supply us with their news.
On the occasion of their visits since September, Past Pupils have missed seeing Mother McEvoy. They recall gratefully her interest in them and the welcome she always gave them.
All unite in thanking her and wish her happiness and many blessings in her new office as Superior at our Convent at Stakes, Waterlooville.
It is hoped that a Reunion will be arranged during the Christmas holidays, and it would be helpful if suggestions were offered for activities during the year.
Our final message is an affectionate greeting to all former pupils from Reverend Mother and the Community, and an assurance that they have always a special place in our hearts and prayers.
