Form VI prepared a most amusing Concert - there was variety and originality, particularly in reproductions of School and T.V.features.

Form I invited the other classes to an entertainment in Trench. They acted two plays, "La Mere Ch'evre" and "La Nouvell Bonne", and sang "Dans Ma Chaumiere" and "Sur La Ravine Escarpee", Those taking part and Mother Golby, who taught them, deserve congratulations on being able to produce this at the end of the first year at French.

Before the end of the School Year Father D. Mills, S.J., gave a Day of Recollection to the top Forms.

SEPTEMBER

New uniform at last - our own Tartan! For this winter, those who prefer are allowed to continue with the old uniform, but from Easter the change is compulsory. Perhaps the lasi word is ill-chosen, as there is a general enthusiasm to wear the new. The results of elections for the new School Year were made known and the girls selected assumed their duties. Head Girl: Edna Hooper. Games Captain: Rosemary Beveridge. Games Secretary; Yvette Baugh. Captains - Campions, Rosemary Beveridge; Ignatians, Mary P. Lee; Stanislausians, Edna Hooper; Xaverians, Maureen Costigan. Prefects: Gillian Smart and Julie Vine.

A group of Seniors sang at Betty Wilson's wedding in Corpus Christi Church.

OCTOBER

Mass of the Holy Ghost in Corpus Christi Church by the kind permission of Father Baron, who once again gave us an inspiring talk for the beginning of the School Year.

October 13th having been selected as a special day for prayer for Peace, the whole School assembled in the Chapel to recite the Rosary in honour of Our Lady of Fatima.

The Medical Mission Sisters gave a lecture with slides on their work in India, and afterwards Sister Mary Godric (Kitty Coombes), one of our Past Pupils, spoke to us for a few minutes.

The Annual School Dance was again well attended. Prizes in the Fancy Dress were awarded to Juliette Bergot (Basset's Liquorice All-sorts), Celeste Dandeker (Indian Lady), Christopher Druit (Parcel), Angela Walsh (Mother's Pride Bread), Andrea Armstrong ( Hawaian Girl). Prizes were presented by the Deputy Mayoress, Mrs. L. V. Barney (Joan Shoolbred).

NOVEMBER

One or other of the Houses arranged a Social for its members each Friday evening and these events have been voted a great success.

The film, "The Iron Duke", was shown by request of the Stanislausians on the Thursday preceding their Feast.

DECEMBER

We look forward to Prize Distribution, December 9th, at which Father John Murray, S.J., has kindly consented to give an address; to Carols in the Chapel on December 18th, and to all the other Christmas preparations which are traditional, but we enjoy them just as well each year.

We close the record with best wishes for Christmas and the New Year to all readers of the Magazine.
