Due to constant wear and tear, a church the size of Corpus Christi needs constant attention and regular maintenance to ensure it is always able to play its’ part in the community.
A small number of volunteers spend some of their spare time (usually on Friday mornings), in cleaning, dusting, supplying and arranging the flowers, polishing the brasses and cleaning the floor of the church and sacristy and anything else that needs to be done.

If you feel you would be able to spare an hour once a week to assist in any way,
Father Beattie would be pleased to hear from you.

The Church also has a full-time maintenance professional who deals with the more specialised aspects of running a large building.
This includes maintaining the boiler, adjusting the timing mechanisms of the Angelus bell, maintaining the fire alarm system in the Guildhall and carrying out building work, electrical repairs, welding, painting and carpentry - as each task is required.
