CHILD PROTECTION OFFICER

Deacon Nick Reynolds heads our diocesan Child Protection Team.

If you have any issues or queries the team can be contacted on 01420 568157 or email cppa.portsdio@freeuk.com

HOW TO KEEP CHILDREN SAFE ONLINE

Deacon Nick writes "there is a great need for parents to be made aware of sensible practice for children who regularly access the Internet of Chat Lines"

Two useful websites are www.chatdanger.com and www.childnet-int.org

PLANNED GIVING

The financial backbone of our Parish is the core of parishioners who are committed to make a contribution every week.

It's not how much, but how regularly that really makes the difference.

If circumstances prevent you from attending every week, or from volunteering much time to the work of the Church, you can do your bit by making a regular contribution.

How? - by asking for weekly contribution envelopes, or by making a banker's order, and if you are a tax-payer, signing a Gift Aid Form enabling us to claim tax from the Govt.

Planned Giving and Gift Aid Forms are available.

If you are not already part of the scheme, please take the forms today!

THANKS TO ALL MEMBERS OF OUR PARISH FAMILY!

OUR PARISH MOTTO IS  - "ONLY JESUS"

Pentecost - 11th May 2008

We're all "under the influence", literally, the "inpouring" of the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is today. You and I are just now being filled full of the breath of the living God. Resurrection and Pentecost blend into one living reality, as the Risen Lord Jesus breathes the Spirit into our deepest selves. "Lord God, how great you are!" is our response, as spoken in the Psalm.

Sinners and beginners that we are, just like the first disciples of Jesus, we are sent to spread the Good News.
