The CMS is a team of priests seconded from Diocesan work to preach parish missions with the aim of building up evangelising parish communities.

To further facilitate this work, it has recently opened up an office for evangelisation.

The priests are also responsible for spreading the faith through the Catholic Enquiry Centre.

If you are looking for a new involvement in your life within the Church, then the Catholic Women's League could be a possible answer.

The bond of friendship, the vitally important prayer life, these are there for women of all ages who are interested in a wide range of activities at parish, national and global level.

More than just charitable and support work, educational opportunities are offered and social concerns addressed. League members are encouraged to make their voices heard as the Catholic women of today.

Annual events include a National Council attended by some 1,000 women. Equally enthusiastic are the monthly meetings at local level with maybe as few as twelve attending. Sections exist throughout the diocese, so for further information look on your church notice boards or better still, contact one of the Branch Officers.
