In a Website dedicated to providing information for Parishioners about organisations which are organised by religious groups or church-goers, and are about religious matters, there should not normally be a need for legal disclaimers.

This Website is published on behalf of and for the parishioners in the various churches of the Portsmouth Diocese. Although content is discussed or published on behalf of the priests in those churches, neither the Parish priest, any other priest or the parish committee in those churches, is in any way liable for the content contained in this Website.

This web site is an 'in-house' site mentioned in church newsletters and generally seen only by the members of the Deanery congregations. It is not of interest to members of the general public. Its' only links are to other religious organisations.

All written information comes either from existing published Catholic material or wherever possible from the organisations providing the various services in addition to parish newsletters. Some information comes from those parishioners using the listed services, including updated information.

The web site is about parish communities and photographs of individuals or groups in the communities are displayed to provide information about present and past generations of church-goers. Most photographs displayed on the web site concerning parishioners are copies of those already displayed in the various churches to the congregation on 'deanery days'.

Where individuals would prefer photographs of themselves are not displayed, these will be removed. Where those individuals are part of a group, the individual will be removed using computer techniques without affecting the remaining photograph.
Information to this effect is also normally displayed on the weekly 'Notices' page.

Photographs of children are only included as part of a group - altar servers, first communion or those under religious instruction where they appear with other children - or in family groups. Private information about children is never displayed.

Each page containing information about Retreats, Retirement or any of the other facilities provided by the Diocese or Parish will have an e-mail link to the publishers for the purposes of updating the included information. However, where this information is not forthcoming, no liability is accepted for any information which becomes outdated or is the cause of any other problem and those seeking to use such services should satisfy themselves that the information given is correct and the organisations conduct themselves as would be expected.

As is usually the case, a personal recommendation is a proven test.
