Christmas Term

When we came back to school after the Summer holidays we were very sorry to find that Mrs. King had left us, as she has given up teaching for the present. We welcome Miss Lee, a past pupil of the Convent, who has replaced her.

Everyone was pleased to see Mrs. Taylor back again and the other day she brought David to see us. There were lots of new faces among the children, especially in the Reception class. If you visit this classroom you will find queer words on the walls, but the children will be able to read them to you.

We have begun the I.T.A. readers there, and you will be surprised to hear some of the five-year-olds reading `The Three Bears' and `Cinderella' quite fluently.

We are always pleased to see Father Delahunty when he comes to the canteen or to the classrooms. He is always so interested in what we are doing and comes to all our functions.

We are rehearsing now for our Carol Pageant which will be held in the Senior Hall, and by the time that you read this we expect that you will have seen it. We hope that it will remind everyone of the meaning of Christmas.
